The designer of this shirt writes:
When it’s winter in NYC, and you’re on the subway, still thawing your toes out while the heat in the subway car is already melting your brain, you’re pretty much forced to look at these ads for idyllic islands in the Caribbean. They tell you that, ‘It’s better in the Bahamas.” Well that may be, but don’t forget there are five boroughs in New York, and it’s better in the boroughs too. Hey, Brooklyn has beaches, don’t you know? Ironically offset with palm tree graphics.
