Yesterday was the most depressing day of the year, according to U.K. psychologist Dr. Cliff Arnall. The model he used to derive this idea was:
{[W + (D-d)] x TQ } / (M x NA)
The equation consists of seven variables: (W) weather, (D) debt, (d) monthly salary, (T) time since Christmas, (Q) time since failed quit attempt, (M) low motivational levels and (NA) the need to take action.

He didn’t factor in any Lost hiatuses in there. That 5th week with no new shows was literally worse than the holocaust.
